Biography

Marc De Tollenaere was born in Tripoli, Libya, in 1969. He studied photography wi

th Gianni Berengo Gardin, David Alan Harvey (Magnum), Antonin Kratochvil (VII), Anders Petersen and Arno Raphael Minkkinen.

With Biblos editions he published several books, among them “Venezia ai confini della luce” in 2007, and “Gondole” in 2009.
Distinguished photographer in the Day’s Japan World Photojournalistic Award in 2005 with the reportage made in Kolkata, India, “Children of the city of joy”.
Distinguished photographer in the Italian professional photographers Award in 2008 with the reportage “Treviso Christian Centre”.
He held many solo exhibitions, among them “Passion and Drama” in Rome 2010 and “Veneto così vicino, così lontano” in Bassano Fotografia 2011.
He teaches photography in Venice, in the “Manfrotto School of Excellence” and in workshops all over the world.
Since 2007 he is testimonial of Manfrotto.
