Stefano Gadda: MIAMI AND THE FLORIDA KEYS
Sun, sea, beautiful girls, nice cars … But also architecture, fashion, sculpture, art ..
The wonderful and gold town….. The area known as Greater Miami, is a melting pot of races which the Founding Fathers Americans should be proud. Half the population is Latin, and this gives the city a cosmopolitan atmosphere. For the casual visitor, means to find a city steeped in Latin-American flavors, from language to music, from politics to lifestyle.
We were in Miami, to take pictures and video of the entire new model of Harley-Davidson …
Recipients of the shooting, the lifestyle magazines coming from all around the world! Journalists of the most important journals, have received an invitation from Harley-Davidson to meet Miami's art with the HD one!!! A wery exclusive world press launch!!!
GQ, Esquire, Playboy, Esquire, Harpers, Playboy, GQ, Marie Clare, Paris Match and many other heads were present.
hand with two great photographers: the french Lionel Beylot and the english James Wright.
The collaboration for the shooting, has allowed the creation of images full of color and emotion.
We took some pics of the new Softail 'Slim' and the Sportster 72… Great!!!!
Our Studio for the shooting was the Wynwood Art District (must-see for anyone who is lucky enough to visit Miami). In this part of town, you can appreciate the phenomenal ability of these “artists from the wall”, and anyone with a camera could literally spend days or even weeks trying to capture this city of art and is constantly being re-colored.
The program was some pre-shooting days, a presentation at the offices of Gibson Guitars, where an exhibition of tanks designed by some of the leading artists of modern times have been exposed.
By Gibson, is the start up of a competition of artists who will see the winner rewarded with a trip at “home”, Milwaukee, home of Harley-Davidson, where it will be presented along with its creation.
The pictures that we have made, out/inside, are fairly simple in terms of light: we use a Profoto with a variety of light shaped with tools such as snoots, softboxes and barn-doors to conduct a little 'extra light in dark areas.
In addition to Profoto flashes, the small flashes mounted on our Manfrotto have been exceptional for the snapshots taken, flying while driving in the urban area of Miami Beach, Gibson, Wynwood and Miami Central.
But the best was given during the trip to Keywest, where all the material found an accommodation in the comfortable spaces of the Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic bags that we used.
In our movement, the Garmin we had, had ensured the safety of the direction in the complicated motorway junctions …
A very and special big “thank you” to everyone for the c
ooperation in this wonderful shoothing in the beautiful “Hollywood of South” …
And please, you can not miss a photographic trip on the Art deco area, Little Cuba, Wynwood, the Everglades, the Florida Keys!
a wish for a “good light”
