Finally, the day had arrived. I had packed and repacked my gear twice checking that everything was there. Altogether I had about 50 kg of equipment packed in a duffel bag, a Pelicase and a carry on board rucksack. I was lucky at the airport and only had to pay for 6 kg in overweight and they hadn’t checked my cabin baggage, which was over 20 kg.
