Manfrotto School of Xcellence is happy to open a new collaboration with Photofarm from March 2011.
In particular Photofarm will contribute with a series of articles about tests, experiences, travels and a schedule of webinars from March until end of the year.
The choice of the School to collaborate with Photofarm is due to their skills and abilities in multiple subjects, from Macro, Color Management, travel Photography, Nature to landscape photography.
The nature photography is just one of the so many different kind of photography that exist, but it is hard to compare it to the others because it should be ruled by a sort of ethic impulse.
Naturalistic photography means photography of wild animals, spontaneous flora in their natural environment, and the photography of landscapes and environments that should be still pristine. So, we are talking about the raw material, the living flesh which makes up our world. We all live in this world, we all depend on it.
The representation trough imagines requires getting to know Nature with love and care, confronting yourself with it in a conscious way. So you can learn to love and defend it, to feel responsible for protecting it and for promoting respect and knowledge.
This kind of knowledge cannot be just scholastic (even if to be well informed is very important because you cannot love something you do not know), but it has to be even empathic and emotional. In fact, the photographer will be able to act with delicacy, careful and love, without taking short cuts (and sometimes renouncing a shot) just with this kind of sensitivity
So, the School wants to promote and spread an approach to naturalistic photography and to Nature in general, which is not limited just to the photographic technique, but which involves even a naturalistic divulgation and an education to sensitivity towards the living beings, to interpretation and to a specific mental approach. This process of awareness should be included in the wider framework of the relationship between the human and the Nature.
